Bios

Eric Rudnick, founder and president of Conceptual Leverage, has been advocating for the integration of cognitive science and psychological principles into computer interface design since 1998. His consulting organization, Conceptual Leverage has advised clients in the biotechnology, textile, communications, and other developing industries helping them achieve powerful solutions and breakthrough insights and strategies.

Eric has been a member of a number of developing companies that have gone on to be extremely successful, including Ask Jeeves, Inc., and was one of the first employees of PC Webopedia, which went on to be acquired by Internet.com. At Ask Jeeves, he was involved in the development of search engines for Microsoft, Web TV, Toshiba, and Bell South. Eric was the primary UI developer for the bioinformatics features on the Affymetrix Website. He has also managed the development of co-branded sites for Gavelnet in conjunction with Salon, NBC interactive, CBS Marketwatch, and the Financial Times.

Eric Rudnick is a certified practitioner of NLP. He is quoted as an expert in the book Notes from Underground: Zines and the Politics of Alternative Culture (Verso Books, 1997). Eric’s BA in Cognitive Science is from Hampshire College, where his thesis was on human computer interface interaction.
